Pixlmob: Feature Requests

The sample images on the editor profiles are far too small to adequately assess the quality. I have tried several editors that provide photos that look excellent at first glance, but a closer look reveals bad ghosting/fringing around items, bad masking (recently an editor managed to "paint" a piece of furniture with the wall color), fundamental paint and tile color changes in rooms (in the last three projects, with two different editors, I have seen desaturation of all ceilings to pure white regardless of paint shade, desaturation of floor or backsplash tiles turning brown tiles to black and white, and complete desaturation of appliances that have gold or brass accents to black and white - these changes fundamentally misrepresent the property, and are unacceptable for MLS in my area). These are small details that are critical for my business but extremely difficult to assess in a tiny thumbnail. Please provide a way for us to expand the sample images.

Ability to directly message editor before placing order to confirm availability, edits and any other questions.

There are many editors on Pixlmob that their work does not match the example images they post in their listings. In many cases the difference is drastic and is false advertising. It would be helpful if clients could post images when giving a review from the job that was completed in order for new clients to be able to make an informed decision about who they hire to edit their projects. I'm not sure why this hasn't been done already. It seems that the editor is being protected while the client who is spending money is getting the wool pulled over their eyes in many cases. It's time consuming and inconvenient to have to ask for revisions every single order because you thought the images would look one way and they turn out looking totally different than the example images.

I’d love to see an option for expedited edits specifically for “Coming Soon” real estate reels. In my market, agents want these short teasers the same evening a house is shot (or first thing the next morning if they're feeling extra patient lol). These are quick 30-ish-second verticals, face to cam hook and property highlights, not full property videos... but the turnaround time is everything. Right now, I end up staying up way too late stitching them together myself, even though I’d much rather keep that work on PixlMob and support the editing team. This would be such a game-changer for real estate creators trying to keep up with the pace of the market while still outsourcing editing.

It would be great if a download link for the files could be sent to the client directly from the platform.

Pixmob should provide an optional add-on service for video editing orders, allowing clients to pay an extra fee for faster delivery compared to the standard delivery time. Because I see many clients want videos as soon as possible, but they choose a vendor with a three-day delivery time and then expect the video in one day. The vendor is forced to complete the video in one day without receiving any extra payment.

I'd love to be able to jot down notes for specific vendors that I'm using or trying out so my entire team can refer back to them.

Request for an open API to other external systems. Allow for photographers or external systems to integrate/create new order requests with various parameters (photographer, photo count, editing type, raw folder, edit folder, etc...). API to fund account balance. Allow for a status check API to check progress of an existing project. Allow for a webhook API post once a project is completed or needs questions answered

Currently, there is no clear way to see which file types are supported by each vendor before submitting a project. I’ve encountered issues where some vendors do not support the CR3 file format. Unfortunately, I usually receive a notification about this issue midway through the project turnaround and typically in the middle of the night, due to time zone differences. This significantly delays delivery, as I then have to manually convert and reupload the files, which can take an additional additional time depending on the number of files. A feature that displays or allows filtering vendors based on supported file types before submission would help prevent these last-minute issues and improve project turnaround times.

We’d like to suggest a small but helpful improvement to your email notification system. Currently, notifications such as “You have a new Order” or “You have new messages” do not include the associated Order Name in the Email tittle Including the Order Name in these notifications would make it significantly easier to manage and track communications, especially when handling multiple orders at once. It would also help avoid mixing different order notifications within the same email thread, which can cause confusion and delay responses. For example, subject lines like: “You have a new Order – [Order Name]” “You have new messages – [Order Name]” This small change would greatly improve workflow efficiency and email management on our end.
